Is it okay to leave Office 2011 on my Mac if I install 2016 or do I need to delete Office 2011 before I install 2016 Is it okay to have both versions installed at once I know there is a support document on the Microsoft website that shows you the steps to deleting 2011 but I dont really want to go through those steps if I dont have to.

So no, its not necessary to remove 2011 prior to installing 2016, nor will the installation of 2016 require it.

One caveat: 2016 is a very large installation so make sure you can afford the extra space by having both Office suites installed.

Office 2016 apps take up around 2 GB each, so you may be looking at an install of 6 - 8 GB depending on which version you purchased.

As I stated in another thread, Microsoft has promised to update 2016.

One of the reasons 2016 takes up more space is that each app (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook) has a separate font folder instead of one folder like 2011 uses.

When MS completes all the promised updates, I will reinstall 2016 and probably remove 2011 but until then Ill continue to use 2011.

Currently I have Office 2011 and 2016 both on my MacBook Pro running with no problem on macOS Sierra.

Quick question for you are you running High Sierra I am thinking about updating to it tonight.

I thought I read somewhere there are some Outlook issues in High Sierra.

I have kept them both up to date with the updates for them and I have gone back to 2011 to see if it works and it works just fine.

I have a question for you, which Mac are you running High Sierra on and how is your performance compare to Sierra.
